Flight and Skiing Cancellations

For safety reasons, we can only take groups to the slopes if we have been granted permission from the following:

  1. Permission from the guides to confirm that the weather conditions are suitable with a view to skiing and that there is a satisfactory cover of snow on the slopes.
  2. Permission from the helicopter pilots to confirm that the weather conditions are suitable with a view to flying and that the technical state of the helicopter is satisfactory.
  3. Permission from responsible parties within the company to confirm that there are no factors which might hinder flying or skiing.

We would ask for your understanding and patience in the event that skiing or flying should be cancelled, we only ever take such measures in the interests of your safety.

Vertical meters

Vertical meters are divided equally between the group. If one person decides that he/she would like to stop earlier than the rest of the group, then his share of vertical meters will be deemed equal to those of the other skiers in the group who have continued.

If a group decides that they would like to stop earlier than scheduled, the vertical meters for the members of this group will be deemed equal to other groups that have skied on that day.

If you haven't used up the vertical meters guaranteed in the classic heli-ski program by the end of your visit because of bad weather conditions or technical problems, we will refund you 125 EUR for every unused 1.000 vertical meters.

If you have used up the vertical meters included in the classic heli-ski program, then you can purchase additional meters. The cost of additional vertical meters is 150 EUR per person per 1.000 vertical meters.

Helicopter flight time

Flight time is the time from the moment the helicopter takes-off until when it lands. This does not include the time it takes to start the engine or the time it takes to stop the engine once you have landed (rotor time).

If bad weather or technical problems mean that you have not used the flying time allotted to you in the special heli-ski programs by the end of your visit then we will refund you 2.400 Euro for every unused hour of flying (or 40 Euros for every unused minute).

If you have used up the helicopter flying time (from 6 to 9 hours) allotted to you in the special heli-ski programs, but would like to carry on skiing then you can purchase additional flying time for 2.700 EUR per hour (or 45 EUR per minute).

Payment

To confirm your booking we ask you to make a down payment of 25% of the price of the program.

The remaining amount must be paid no later than 30 days before the date of your arrival. Of course, you can pay the full price of the program upfront.

If there are spaces available and you are able to book less than 30 days before your planned arrival, then we require payment in full and at once.

You can pay for your heli-ski program using following:

Cancellation

If you cancel your booking more than 30 days (inclusive) before your proposed arrival then your 25% down payment will not be refunded.

If you cancel your booking less than 30, but more than 7 days (inclusive) before your proposed arrival then 50% of your payment will not be refunded.

If you cancel your booking less than 7 days before your proposed arrival then there will be no refund.

Insurance

We highly recommend that you take out travel and cancellation insurance. None of our programs include insurance.

Waiver

Heli-skiing and freeriding are extreme sports and as such carry a risk to your health and even life. Therefore, we would ask you to be extremely attentive on the slopes and to follow the safety rules meticulously.

Before you start skiing we will ask you to read and sign a Waiver related to those risks incurred by extreme mountain skiing which are in no way related to the actions of the Heliksir Ltd staff.
